## Page paths and disputed sentences

For an editorial correction, the useful pieces are the page path, the exact sentence at issue and the relevant passage in the paper. A mistaken cell population, a missing qualifier or confusion between thymosin beta-4 and its fragment would each change the account substantially. The [reading list](/references) gathers the studies cited here.

A correction matters most here when it alters the experimental meaning. A plausible explanation can outrun an observation, and an appealing result can lose its setting. Those are good reasons to return to a paper closely.
